Glider Zlin Z1 1937 - the first of Zlin! Date: 24.11.2012
At the end of August, as promised, we completed a replica of the Zlin Z1 glider. The glider will be installed in the permanent exposition of the Zlín Museum in the area of the former Baťa plant - building no. 14.
Short History:
In 1937, engineer Jan Kryšpín designed this simple glider for young Baťovs, members of MLL. By 1939, about 12 pieces of variously modified Z1 gliders were produced. Many young sailors of that time had their first jumps on Zlin Numero UNO!
